Frame finishes
There are many options available to customise your shelves and create something unique and eye-catching. From timber selection through to frame finish, we will happily advise you on the most appropriate finishes for your project, providing samples for you if required.
Premium powder coated finish
This is commonly used on our frames as it results in a high-quality, durable finish.
A process called electrostatic spray deposition (ESD) is used to achieve the application of the powder coating to the frame. This application method uses a spray gun, which applies an electrostatic charge to the powder particles, which are then electrostatically attracted to the frame. After application of the powder coating, the frame is then heat cured and the coating chemically reacts to produce a superior and hardwearing finish.
We have carefully selected 12 premium finishes in an array of neutral tones. There’s also a mixture of satin and textured finishes, so something to cater for everyone.

Gilding
For truly opulent finishes we use a process of gilding, the application of applying extremely delicate metal leaf to a surface by hand. It is incredibly beautiful and lovingly crafted for a luxury finish.
There are several gilding options available; aluminium, copper and brass. We can also apply chemical patina effects on the copper and brass finishes or the frames can be gilded with a technique to produce a cracked black veining throughout the piece.
